Both became friends during the show and dated for over five years. Due to some reason, Jyoti had to go back to her family in the US. Ajay went after her and proposed her.The couple got married twice as they got married under Hindu rituals as well as had a white wedding since Jyoti Makkar is a half Christian.In 2015, he took a break from acting to start a company called Paragon Private Ltd along with co-partners, Nandish Sandhu and Mrunal Jain.Now he is back on small screen with the show Rishton Ka Chakravyuh on Star Plus, in which he is playing the role of a father of an adult.
