My Compelling Story

Anjali Kukreja is a renowned dancer from Pune. She received her initial dance training in Bharatnatyam. She has a diploma in Teachers' Training and is also trained in Standard Latin, ballroom, and salsa under Sandip Soparrkar's Ballroom Studio, 2006. Anjali has attended workshops on other dance styles like flamenco, tap dance, and contemporary by various national and international artists. She graduated the Salsa Master Class by Alien Ramirez (20 times World Salsa Champion) with flying colors, and has attended workshops and private lessons on whacking, reggae, house, and dance hall by Sylvia Lo from Indonesia. She has been teaching dance for the last 13 years which includes dance styles like salsa, Latin, Bollywood, hip-hop, ballroom, semi-classical, folk and many more to all age groups. Anjali has judged many dance competitions and conducted dance workshops for different dance forms at many reputed institutions and companies, in and around Pune. Achievements and Performances: Assistant choreographer for Bollywood movies 'Phir Kabhie' starring Mithun Chakraborty, Emraan Hashmi-starrer 'Raftaar' and Hrithik Roshan's 'Kites' Worked as assistant choreographer for Mr Sandip Soparrkar at Dance India Dance Li'l Masters Season 1 in 2010 Senior choreographer and technical advisor for Sakal Times Corporate Dancing Jodi - A corporate dance war in Pune, 2013 Annual day functions and musicals for various schools in Pune and all over India Choreographed for colleges and corporates, wedding sangeets in and around Pune Trained cancer survivors at the Prashanti Cancer Care Choreographed a special performance for Opening Ceremony for the 50th Anniversary of the Armed Forces Medical College, Pune Choreographed for the play- 'Hidden Agendas' directed by Mrs Janine Misquitta Choreographed for the the NGO Life Foundation, Pune Chapter- September 2015 Currently teaching the cadets at National Defence Academy's Dance Club Performed at India International Salsa Festival 2007 to 2009 Finalist for Aaja Jhoom Le at Zoom TV Silver Medalist at the 5th All India Dance Sports Federation's National Championship, Mysore for 2 Dance Category (June 2011) Performed at the eighth year anniversary celebrations of Ishanya Foundation and for the brand launch of their Home SukhStore, August, 2015 Artist at the Rocky Poonawaala's Pune International Dance Congress
