Does Anupama Raag smoke: Not Known.Does Anupama Raag drink alcohol: Not Known.Before adopting singing as the sole profession, Anupama served as a bureaucrat in Uttar Pradesh. She is a former assistant commissioner of Commercial Tax Department and has also served as an Officer On Special Duty in the Lucknow Development Authority.She learned classical musical from Ustad Gulshan Bharti of Lucknow gharana and Yogendra Bhat of Gwalior gharana under the traditional guru-shishya parampara.Early in her singing career, Anupama used to be a regular singing talent at both Doordarshan and Aakashwani. Additionally, she sang for five consecutive years at the Lucknow Mahotsav.Her debut song, Shalu Ke Thumke, featuring Mallika Sherawat, from the movie Bin Bulaaye Baarati (2011) was widely appreciated.Also a songwriter, Anupama now releases her self-written-sung songs on YouTube. Her song, Laal Dupatta, featuring Singer Mika Singh and Actress Urvashi Rautela has garnered over 9 lakh views to date.Even after becoming a singer, Anupama did not forget her previous professions. To acknowledge the Uttar Pradesh Government, she composed/wrote 2 songs for it namely Lucknow Development Authority Theme and U.P. Pride Song.For her contribution towards the field of music, the UP government awarded her the Yash Bharati Award in 2016.
