My Compelling Story
Atom - Bass Boy is a professional DJ based out of the IT capital of India, Bangalore. Among the younger generation of DJs here, Atom started listening to Ma Faiza, the mother of electronic music, at a very young age. Inspired by her work, he began to spend most of his time DJing with the use of Virtual DJ, and soon became a fan of Skrillex, Deadmou5, Nicky Romero, and Afrojack. Currently, Atom can play bass music on CDJ-2000NXS and has started to show interest in the turntable. Even though he can hardly read or write music, Atom has created his own unique style, chooses his own music, makes his own mixes and mashups, and has picked up all these skills on his own. He is a great fan of the movie, Real Steel, and hence, decided to use it as his stage name. He has performed in clubs like Blue Frog, Raddison Blu, Lalit, Ashoka, and Warehouse. Some of his inspirations are Skrillex, Vachan Chinnappa, Nicky Romero, Deadmau5, Afrojack, and Ma Faiza.
