My Compelling Story

  Axl Hazarika is a professional DJ based out of Guwahati, Assam. He is the first Indian independent artist to get launched on VEVO. His most recently released song Goru Bihu has reached over a million views on Youtube. Axl is the first musician to compose and release metal songs in Assamese language. He started making metal music when he was in high school. At that time the northeast India’s metal scene was only at a nascent stage. Soon he released his first metal album in the year  2008. Going forward he began experimenting with metal and came across a new genre - industrial metal. This genre totally captured his interest and since then Axl has been making industrial/avant-garde music. Apart from avant-garde or experimental kind of music, Axl also makes new age rock songs, electronic and psychedelic music. Hum Badal Gaye, his first rock song for international audience made a record of highest played song from northeast India on YouTube and it was also the highest downloaded song on digital platforms. Axl has been travelling around the country and globe, performing at various festivals. His peculiar type of music clicks with the audience, owing to its original and subtle nature.
