My Compelling Story

Colours is a LIVE band based out of the capital city of Meghalaya, Shillong. The band has so far performed in more than 425 shows which includes concerts, music festival, pubs, etc. all over Northeastern states and other states like Delhi and Kolkata. Colour has opened for big names like White Lion, Firehouse and Smokie. Currently, the band is working on its debut Khasi album that will be out soon. The pro-rock band was formed in 2004 by Ribhalang, Phalangri, and Arwel. The trio somehow managed to rope in Pynhun who agreed to sing for the band.  Later, Colours went on for two years, performing all over India and finally decided to include a keyboardist in the band that was filled by Hubert. Colours got its first break by performing for a huge crowd who attended the Northeast Youth Fest, Kolkata, in 2005. In 2006, Pynhun had to leave the band for some personal reasons and the band had a hard time searching for a new vocalist, but in short time, the emptiness has been blessed and filled by Danny, a popular and experienced vocalist who had been with a few well-known bands. Colours is indeed proud to announce that Arwell was once upon a time awarded the IIT Best Bassist of the Year and Danny as IIT Best Vocalist of the Year. This gives the band a unique quality.
