My Compelling Story

Kerigma is a journey that began 2 years ago and the sole reason to come together is purely for the love of music and the kiss of metal. The band, based out in Chennai, is reaching out to the mob with its finest touch in classic metal and positive inspiring lyrics. The tracks focus on positive human ethical values and social ideologies.'Splendiferous' is the apt word and it shows forth on every individual in the band – the burning passion for thriving and not just surviving and conquering the several hearts of music lovers. Mickey Santiago on Vocals A tattoo artist by profession – pulsating, energetic and vibrant on stage – this guy can sing anything right from Panthera to Megadeth to Metallica and brings a touch of class in the band's own compositions with his original style. He is the true voice of the band. Vicky Marlbro on Guitars and Backing Vocals A music teacher and guitar instructor by profession, Vicky is a versatile musician who plays fast solos with great melodies and digs on old school metal. He can play anything from Black Sabbath to Megadeth to Pantera to White Snake and many more. He also plays the bass, keyboards and drums and is the creative genius behind the band's sound with his riffing, progressions and unique guitar style. Gideon Santiago on Bass and Backing Vocals He picked up the bass by accident and realized it was his passion. Gideon is a web designer by profession. He is very energetic on stage and plays some technical basslines that make Kerigma sound so great. Gideon has many influences right from Joe Sat to Maiden to Metallica to Dio to Panthera and some more old school metal artists. He is the co-founder of the band. Every gig is special with Gideon as he rips the bass guitar with his fast styles and clean slapping techniques, that is what makes Kerigma's songs so special. Savio Antique on the Drums A drummer in his schooling days, suddenly realized he was good at singing and sang for some of the biggest bands in Chennai during his college days. Suddenly one day, he quitted singing and returned to his roots. Savio is a classic rock and metal-influenced drummer. He loves Megadeth, Maiden, and Metallica. His tight drumming brings the band to the next level and the uniqueness of their sound in most of the songs, right from fast beats to slow ballads, Savio can play them all and kill them all!
