My Compelling Story
New Life is the brainchild of Internationally renowned wiz-percussionist Sivamani and versatile singer Runa Rizvi, who has mesmerized audiences with her serene and powerful voice at concerts and recordings with Jagjit Singh, Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia, A.R Rahman, etc. The band also features India's most talented jazz keyboardist, Harmeet Manseta, the live industry’s most sought after tabla player, Ojas Adhiya, and multi-talented composer/keyboardist, Vishal Dhumal on the harmonium. Wherever budgets permit, India’s fastest man on keyboards, Stephen Devassy replaces Harmeet Manseta. Besides their original compositions, New Life performs classics from the ghazals, folk and Sufi space, and of course the odd Bollywood evergreen songs, albeit with their own contemporary touch.
