Pandit Prem Kumar Mallick is a professional singer based out of Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. Pt Mallick represents the 12th generation of Darbhanga Gharana and its musical lineage. His recitals and compositions are unique. Pt Mallick has been mastered not only in dhrupad but also in khayal, tappa, thumari-dadra, and bhajans. He is a well-known ‘A’ grade artist in Hindustani classical vocal (khayal) of All India Radio and Television. He has performed in many major musical festivals all over the world including the Festival of India held in Canada, US, Great Britain, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, and Denmark, enthralling audience everywhere. Awards: Gold Medal in the All India Radio music competition, 1980 Gold Medal by standing first at Merit in Sangeet Praveen (Master of Music) at All India level, 1985 Tulsi Award in Akhil Bhartiya Dhrupad Mela Association, Varanasi, 1997 Dhrupad Vibhushan from Dhrupad Kala Kendra, Indore, 1999
