My Compelling Story

Pavitra is a progressive/rock LIVE band based out of the capital city of Rajasthan, Jaipur. The members come from diverse cities and like to listen various kinds of stuff, but it does not affect them while they jam. They just compose music more and more without caring of genres. Pavitra was a dream of their lead guitarist/composer Abhishek Sankhla who is a multi-instrumentalist. He has a good sense of music and skills of instruments. He made contact to all the instrument players in college while he was studying in first semester and founded the band with his good friend Vivek Soni (rhythm guitar) and Soumyabrata Chakraborty (former vocalist) in the year 2010. Akhilesh Mathur was the former pianist and Shantanu was the former drummer of Pavitra for initial years. Later, Himanshu Garg took on the drum duties and has been playing for the last two years ever since. Somu got a job in West Bengal while Akhilesh left the band for higher studies. So, Bipul joined in vocals while Shubham took on the keyboard. In earlier days, they performed in local areas and faced bad sound setup and quality on stage. But, it helped them grow stronger in bad situations.
