Instead, he was more inclined towards acting. He was an active participant of his school and college plays.When he was in Indore for a play, he met his future wife, Veena. Veena was a Christian and her family was against their marriage, so they eloped.After shifting to Mumbai in 1985, he started working in TV serials. He had done around 40 serials till 1990 and had registered his name in Limca Book of Records for doing a maximum number of TV series in 5 years.He has been active in TV, films and theatre for over 30 years.
