My Compelling Story
Saisharan is a professional singer based out of Chennai, Tamil Nadu. A Carnatic, devotional, and film music playback singer, Saisharan began his musical journey at the age of five. He has had many tutors and mentors from an early age, amongst whom were Smt Aravindham, Smt Meera Kedarnath, and Smt Leelavathy Gopalakrishnan. He gave his very first formal vocal concert at the age of eight, and the late Shri Kunnakudi Vaidhyanathan presided over this. Saisharan reached his zenith when he performed for the former President of India, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam at the Yellow Hall of the Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi. Carnatic music remains his forte, and he has given multiple performances at numerous Sabhas in Chennai. What indeed makes Saisharan a standout are his polymathic capabilities. Putting aside his musical talents, he has also earned a degree in Engineering with a focus on electrical engineering. He then went on to participate in numerous reality shows conducted by various television channels like Star Vijay, Jaya TV and Raj TV. This part of his career reached its apotheosis when he won the title of the Airtel Super Singer 3 in 2011. Saisharan went on to win two successive Airtel Super Singer T20. And with this, he started a new phase of his musical career: the glamorous world of cinema. By appearing as a playback singer for leading Tamil music directors like D Imman, Joshua Sridhar, SS Thaman, and Ghibran, he has cemented his play in the music industry. With, both, tradition and pop culture in his armoury, Saisharan has given more than 1000 shows and has performed in many countries including Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, UAE, Australia, UK, Canada, USA, and Switzerland. He is currently pursuing his MA in Music at the Madras University.
