Zeliang drink alcohol?: Not Known.He was born to Rangleu Zeliang in the Mbaupungwa village of Peren district, Nagaland.He belongs to the Zeliang Naga Community that enjoys the status of Scheduled Tribes in India.According to reports, he served as the General Secretary of Zeliangrong Action Committee, President of Zeliangrong Students Union and also became the President of the Peren District Youth Congress of the Indian National Congress.In 2014, he became the Chief Minister of Nagaland for the first time following Neiphiu Rios election to the Lok Sabha in the Indian general elections of 2014.
