My Compelling Story
Q8 is an alternative/Bollywood/indie/rock LIVE band based out of the capital city of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram. The story of Q8 begins with Shibu Strings – founder and lead guitarist of Q8. Much before Q8, Shibu was the lead guitarist of Greenheart, which, along with bands of that time, was considered one of the poster boys of the early rock n roll scene in the 90s. Over the years, Q8 has associated with artists of immense talent, creating content that was not only radical and fresh, but also maintained a rustic and earthly essence. Its initial music experiments laid the foundations of the Malayalam rock genre. Featured very early on in Rosebowl and Kappa TV, Q8 has had various studio and LIVE collaborations with artists like Naresh Iyer, Sithara, Sayanora, Franco, etc. to create some amazing original and re-rendered content over the years.
