My Compelling Story
The Shubham Roy Collective is a folk-fusion band which made its debut at the Backdoors event 2016 hosted by The Humming tree. The band is a collaboration of musicians who are all aces in their own places. Their music ranges from traditional folk music to upbeat pop music; they are a versatile lot! Their peppy numbers can drag your feet to the dance floor, while others can gently pull you to the soul of their music. Shubham Roy hails from Shillong and brings with him a wealth of experience in folk (Multilingual), classical music, fusion and popular songs. When it comes to entertainment, he is versatile and dynamic. He has opened for some of the most prominent bands and artist of the music fraternity such as the Indian Ocean, Usha Uthup, Raghu Dixit, Karthik Das Baul, Barmer Boys and Zubeen Garg.
