My Compelling Story
Valentine Shipley is a professional guitarist based out of the capital city of India, New Delhi. He is one of the pioneers of instrumental music in India. As a teenager at St Xaviers School in Delhi, Valentine was part of the famous Glee Club at the school headed by the most prolific music composer/director, Param Vir. He has sung for various musicals like Oliver, Jesus Christ Superstar, Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Mikado, Evita, etc. Valentine has traveled all across Europe and played with various pop, rock, ethnic, folk, and jazz outfits. On his return to India, he worked with the likes of Louis Banks and Astaad Deboo and with Grammy Award winner, Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, and also played with India’s #1 rock band, Parikrama. He ardently appreciates genres of music such as rock, country, blues, soul, jazz and Bollywood. Currently, he plays at various venues such as Harley Rock Riders.
