My Compelling Story

Vikalp is a professional instrumentalist based out of the finance capital of India, Mumbai. He is India’s leading percussionist who has grabbed appraisals for his versatility and professionalism. The one-man army is known to play 30 odd percussions and ethnic instruments that comprise of global flavours. His rockstar moves and speed with his drumsticks will entertain your visual senses like no other. And hence, he is one of the very few percussionists who can blend into multiple styles of music like folk garba, bhangra, electronic, and global fusion. His love for music was born right at the age of four when he began to learn tabla and then switched to drums. He further grew passionate and explored all norms of percussions- playing and working hard to get where he is right now. Music runs in his blood and soul, making him unstoppable at his pace for achieving perfection and showcasing innovation. His unique act gained him an individual identity and fame when Vikalp introduced India to a magical and spectacular act called 'Liquid Drumming'. Vikalp performs LIVE jugalbandi with DJs and bands of Bollywood and pop-rock genres. He has worked with the biggest names in the industry and several major media channels for events and teleshows. He has performed with famous DJs and music pioneers like Richa Sharma, Kailash Kher, Atif Aslam, Amanat Ali, Jimmy Felix, Raahie, and many more. This got him noticed by Sona Mohapatra, one of the top artists in the Indian music scene, and put Vikalp on-board her touring band.
